| Calling Cards and Easter Eggs |

I was watching a scene from Chicago last night and had forgotten that Go-To-Hell Kitty is a pineapple heiress. I then thought about how the pineapple factors into Cabaret too. Just a coincidence? Or, did the pineapple pop up in other Kander and Ebb works as well as a little hidden Easter egg of the duo? I figured the smarter people here might know.
Then I got to wondering…like Hitchcock and his cameos or Hirschfeld hiding his daughter’s name in his caricatures, have any theatre artists been known for incorporating calling cards or Easter eggs throughout their body of work? |
